Flagpole Kings is open to anyone with something useful to say about flagpoles: manufacturers, dealers, installers, flag makers, contractors, facility managers and owners. You're welcome to tell readers about your own company and link to it.
Every submission is read in full and judged by the same rules, whoever sends it. Articles that follow the rules are published with your name and company on them.
The rules
- Flagpoles only. Flagpoles, the flags flown on them, their hardware, installation, maintenance, lighting, etiquette, events and the trade.
- It has to inform. Readers should learn something: a how-to, an explanation, data, a project write-up, industry news. Pure advertisements are turned down. Telling readers who you are and what your company does, with a link, is welcome inside a useful article.
- No false or unverified claims. No "number one," "the best," "the leading" or "most trusted" unless an independent source says so and you link to it. Prices, wind ratings and statistics must be accurate.
- No putting anyone down. Don't criticize or cast doubt on any other company, by name or by hint. This applies to everyone equally, including our publisher.
- Your own work. Original writing you have the right to publish. No copied text, fake reviews or made-up testimonials.
- Who you are. Your real name, your company if you have one, and a working email. Your name and company appear on the article.
- Length and links. At least 600 words, and up to 3 links that are relevant to the article.
- Light editing. We may fix spelling, formatting and headings. We won't change what you're saying without asking you first.
